Choosing a psychotherapist is a very personal decision. Assuming competency, the letters after a clinician's name matter less than their experience, knowledge and capacity for empathy. If psychotherapists were easily interchangable, insurance coverage and geography would be adequate for selection. Unfortunately, we're not. Therapy is most effective when the client and therapist are a good match, that is, when both parties have determined that there exists a real potential for the development of an open, honest, mutually respectful and trusting relationship. The purpose of my website is to tell you something about me and my work, and, hopefully, to answer some of your immediate questions.
